The winding down of the ski season brings celebrations of all sorts, including the annual pond skimming contest, spring gruv concert series, and resort Easter hunts. Between the Eccles Center, Egyptian Theatre, and Ballet West, it's also a great time to be a culture vulture. Here are a smattering of events not to be missed. Spring Gruv 4/2-4/9: Running all week long at Park City Mountain, Spring Gruv is the culmination of the ski season and includes entertainment of all sorts. Laugh till you hurt at the annual pond-skimming contest (4/8 at Red Pine Lodge), which features costumed teams and individuals launching off ramps in glorious attempts to float across the Red Pine pond on skis. The comedy concludes with a free live concert at Canyons Village. Egyptian Theatre: It's that time of the year, locals--Follies returns from April 20-30th to mock all things Park City and join the community together in shared hilarity. We can't wait for the latest Tom Clyde roast and lobby beers. In addition to the Follies, the Egyptian has a full line-up including Annie, Repertory Dance Theatre, and The Blind Boys of Alabama. The Thin Air Innovation Conference (4/5-4/7): Thin Air brings together the greatest minds from technology, finance, startups, and business for a two day meeting of the minds. Be sure to check out the public-facing events and get inspired by latest ideas and innovators. We're thrilled to see Park City's business landscape continue to transform and are honored to help sponsor this event. |
